We told you all we were going to be featuring more trucks! Here we’ve got a Ram 2500 Laramie Super Duty and the owner had a rough time with the factory wheels and tires. To be fair, this truck has a towing capacity of around 20,000 pounds, yet Ram completely made it look like it skipped leg day. Enter Need 4 Speed Motorsports. We installed a brand new set of AEV Conversion Salta HD Wheels wrapped in Toyo Tires Open Country R/T all-terrain tires.
The Salta HD for the Ram 2500 combines both modern styling and rugged durability in one great looking package. Inspired by the legendary Dakar Rally and named after the Argentine city along its route, the Salta HD’s race-inspired 16-spoke design not only looks great but also adds significant strength to the wheels. AEV’s signature recessed valve stems provide added protection from rocks and other objects on the trail. The 17×8.5 Salta HD features a Ram-specific backspacing that is designed for the perfect fitment with or without factory fender flares when using up to a 37” tire. This vehicle-specific wheel design provides the optimal balance of tire clearance, scrub radius, and handling. Available in Matte Black, Onyx, and Silver finishes.
Toyo Tires Open Country line of wheels guarantees that off-road performance meets on-road comfort. Built rugged for any terrain, this powerful 4×4 tire offers excellent off-road traction, durable construction, and aggressive styling for when you want to have some off-roading fun on Sunday but also need to get back to heavy-duty work on Monday.

One last thing to note here is that a lot of trucks in order to run a 35″ tire will require a leveling kit minimum or some kind of lift kit. In the case of this Ram 2500, neither were installed and the 35″ tire had a full range of motion without any rub.
